What are your rates?
- The practice charges medical aid rates.
- Cash paying clients (Individual or Company or Insurer) is welcome
- Please check your funds before commencing outpatient therapy (Occupational Therapy) and as far as possible application is made for Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB), and every effort is made to design treatment programs that are not only effective but also affordable.
- Occupational Therapy motivation for Ex-gracia funds can be done if required or requested by your medical aid
- Clients seen under Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act are welcome.

What are the average sessions I will need?
Average Occupational Therapy sessions are dependant on a client’s diagnosis, injury, and type of Occupational Therapy service and input that are required. For e.g.:
- RFA test – 1x session, test take 3 hours.
- Rehabilitation (hand therapy etc) – average of 6 sessions, but it can be more or less depending on a client’s injury, surgery, diagnosis and the clients commitment to therapy
- FCE and other assessments – Occupational therapy assessment can take from one to 5 hours, depending on the type of assessment and the client’s injury/ diagnosis.
Do I need a referral from a doctor before contacting you?
Most medical aids require a referral from a Doctor indicating Occupational Therapy intervention. However, Specialist, Doctor or any other Allied Health Practitioner (namely Physiotherapist, Psychologist, Biokineticist, OMP etc) can also refer to Occupational Therapy.
Will any rehabilitation equipment be paid for by my medical aid?
Most Medical aids pay for Occupational Therapy intervention. However, it is subject to the type of medical aid as well as what medical aid plan a client is on. If your medical aid does not cover Occupational Therapy intervention, Occupational Therapy sessions will be cash.
How long will recovery take me?
Average recovery time are dependant on a client’s diagnosis/injury, and what type of Occupational Therapy service and input are required.
